Based on Ed Diener's recipe for happiness, Professor Elemental might be the happiest person alive based on his claims from his song 'Splendid'. Firstly, he has strong social relationships as he sings, "few are strangers in my fan bases", and he loves them "almost paternally." Secondly, his positive mental attitude as he says, "Everything is ever so splendid." Next, money is not the key as he finds joy in the small things in life, such as freshly baked muffins, freshly mowed grass, and cartoons. With his strong values and connections, he has better functioning as he says, "I just love this life of mine." Maybe we all need to buy a "special hat" and try to live a bit more like Professor Elemental, and perhaps we too, would be the happiest people alive.
